If you don’t know what a bucket list is by now, you’ve been living under a bucket. A bucket list is a list of anything you’d like to do before you die or “Kick the Bucket”. An example would be “Go Skydiving” or “Travel to London” or “reconnect with my brother, sister, cousin, son…” Getting the idea? Great.
A bucket list can be a very personal thing and the thought of sharing it can be frightening. Be brave, someone you share it with may want to join you on one of your adventures. And life is much more fun with someone else.
I am constantly adding to my list so I’m just going to share a few of them here and save some of them for later. These are in no particular order.
- Watch a Space Shuttle Launch
- Visit Machu Pichu in Peru
- See the Hoover Dam
- See the Northern Lights
- Sky Dive
- Visit Mount Rushmore
- Hear a sonic boom
- Visit the WWII war ship memorial in Pearl Harbor
- Take a boat through the Panama Canal
- Go to Niagara Falls
When I first started, I was writing my list on scraps of paper. I now use my iPhone. You can write out a list or get an app for your smart phone. Either way you choose, just start your list and live your life!
[…] go to all the bike rallies I haven’t yet been to. I’d start crossing off items on my bucket list, and start adding more. I’d give more, travel more, play more, sleep better, and live more. […]
